Blooket Join Game: Enter a Code & Start Playing

Where to join

Blooket has two different addresses, which causes a lot of student confusion:

• play.blooket.com — the student join page. One box for the Game ID.
• blooket.com/login — the teacher and account-holder sign-in page. Not what you want for joining a game.

Open play.blooket.com in a new tab and follow the steps below.

Step-by-step join flow

1. Open play.blooket.com. The page is intentionally minimal — one input.
2. Type the Game ID exactly as it appears on your teacher's screen. Codes are 6 or 7 digits.
3. Press Join. Blooket asks for a nickname next.
4. Pick a nickname your teacher will recognize (e.g., "Jordan P." rather than "xX_Pizza_Xx").
5. Wait in the lobby. Your name appears in the on-screen list as soon as it's accepted.
6. The teacher launches the round — your screen switches automatically to the game.

Reading the Game ID

Game IDs are always numeric. The most-mistyped characters are:

• 0 vs O — codes are always digits, never letters.
• 1 vs I or l — same rule.
• Leading spaces — copy-paste from a chat sometimes adds an invisible space; retype it instead.

Common join errors

• "Game not found": recheck the digits, then ask the teacher whether the lobby is still open.
• Page won't load: your school may filter blooket.com — see our school restrictions guide.
• Stuck on lobby screen: the teacher hasn't clicked Start yet. Wait, don't refresh.
• Got kicked out: some modes close the lobby on round start; ask the teacher to re-host.

Rejoining after a disconnect

Lost Wi-Fi mid-game? Reopen play.blooket.com and re-enter the same Game ID and the exact same nickname. Blooket will reattach you to your existing score if the round is still live.
